South

The South Segment is a 10-mile corridor that will connect the downtown Ronstadt Transit Center with the Tucson International Airport.

Fast Facts

  • The south segment corridor will run along either Stone Avenue / S. 6th Avenue or Kino Parkway.
  • The south segment will be a high-capacity transit corridor, but the specific form of transit is undetermined at this time.
  • Based on feedback from Tucson Norte-Sur Phase I, additional outreach is needed within the southern study area, which will continue through Tucson Norte-Sur Phase II.
  • Additional transit routes have been identified in the south segment and will need to be studied further before moving into the next phase of corridor selection.
